EXTREMELY over-rated!!!, December 21, 2009 By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: 45" Darter King Mosquito Craft Huge RC Racing Speed ESC Boat Electric Radio Remote Control Water Cooling Triple Motor Fast Ship (Toy) First of all, never buy from AmazingTechDepot, they WILL rip you off. Simply put, they are out to get your money. As for the boat, the only way this boat will even come close to the "advertised speed" of 45 mph, is if it's going with the wind in a tropical storm. On a very calm day, on glass smooth water, this boat might do 10 mph for about 2 minutes only. And the run time is not what is advertised either. On a full charge you will not even get 10 minutes before it's at the mercy of the wind and current. AmazingTechDepot provided a Lead-Acid battery that does not fit in the boat, that's because it was not designed for it. The paperwork that came with the boat gave descriptions and instructions on charging a Ni-Cad battery, which would perform far better than a Lead-Acid battery. So most people that do not understand the differences between the two batteries will not know they are actually getting ripped off. Lead-Acid batteries gradually declines in power, where Ni-Cad has not only... Read more
