First, one of the propellers came badly smooshed, no problem I just used one of the spares. Problem was apparently they have opposite pitch and I used one the opposite of the one I replaced......the boat just ran in circles until I figured out what was going on.
Second is the boat badly listed to one side, this required putting a old lithium AA battery on the light side, under the deck, now it floats upright.
Finally the battery compartment hatch isn't water tight(or anything near) so any water that splashes over the deck gets under the deck and on the battery. At one point the boat totally stopped working until I emptied the water and let it dry out overnight with a fan pointing under the deck.
I have mixed feelings about this boat, price was good and it looks quite nice but it's not the best designed. I'm going to keep it though, warts and all because of the decent price and it does look nice. The speed and... Read more
