It is a lot of fun over smooth water...we like to bring it to the pool. My 9 year old son loves it and can't wait to test it on snow. Used it in the swimming pool and had a alot of fun, I did not time how long the battery lasted. If I had a child I would order another one so we cold race. He was thrilled with the gift, but soon was in tears. Almost immediately (within minutes) of charging the toy, it was not working. The motor was on, but the tubing did not inflate and the hovercraft did not go anywhere. He was incredibly disappointed.
