Garbage, AVOID., June 29, 2011 By = Durability:

This review is from: Air Hogs - Jet Set - Eagle Ray (Toy) This is a piece of junk. As another reviewer stated, it nose dives every time. Fresh batteries don't help. It's too bad because I have had less expensive Air Hogs planes that soared and were extremely fun. This was a huge disappointment.

This review is from: Air Hogs - Jet Set - Eagle Ray (Toy) The Air Hogs Jet Set is the best remote-controlled airplane you're going to get for $35. Just know this: the company's quality-control system is apparently hit-and-miss, and not every plane is created equal. We got one for my son for Christmas and it would fly about 10 feet, then nosedive or crash into a wall or tree; no matter how we tried adjusting the trim, or practicing the art of flying that thing, we just could not get it to respond to the steering controls. I assumed that this was a total POS product and that's just how it worked, but then one of the motors started making a funny noise and I decided to return the item to Target and exchange for a new one, and see how that goes. Well, the 2nd plane was a revelation. It flies great, responds to the controller, and gains a lot more altitude (this one climbs to about 40 feet easily, where the first plane would never get highher than 10-12 feet). So if you buy one of these and it sucks, take it back and try again. Also, you will... Read more

Piece of garbage---do NOT buy, December 26, 2011 By S. C. "Mona Lisa" (East Coast) - See all my reviews = Durability:

This review is from: Air Hogs - Jet Set - Eagle Ray (Toy) This is a piece of garbage. Whereas with the other Air Hogs Jet Set airplane that I have (blue plane with canards), a paper clip taped under the nose corrected the instability and allowed the thing to fly OK, this Jet Set Eagle Ray is impossible! I spent 90 minutes trying every possible adjustment I could think of (adjusting the trim, taping paper clips to add weight at different points, etc), and this rotten thing just won't fly. Absolutely a horrible product. We plan to return it as soon as possible. Shame on you, Air Hogs company, SHAME ON YOU SHAME ON YOU for selling such worthless junk to the kids of America!!!
