THIS IS NOT A TOY! DO NOT FLY INDOORS OR AROUND PEOPLE!, May 17, 2012 By = Durability:

This review is from: Blade mCP X v2 RTF let me start off by saying: THIS IS NOT A TOY, IT IS NOT A BEGINNER HELI!
I bought this helicopter after a few months of training on a co-axial Syma S107/S107G R/C Helicopter, then a Fixed Pitch Nine Eagles Solo Pro (aka Revell ProtoMax). Seeing that the mCPX was similar in size, I decided to purchase the RTF version as I didn't have a transmitter that could bind n fly. This is a challenging helicopter to fly, so I seriously recommend getting a flight training simulator. Don't let the small size fool you, this helicopter's rotors can generate some headspeed that can draw blood, hence my warning not to fly it around people.
This helicopter is very crash resilient providing that you fly over some nice fluffy grass, and know when to hit the throttle hold/kill switch. This will keep the motor from spinning and ripping... Read more

Super fun, January 28, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Blade mCP X v2 RTF My first 3D heli, but I was very happy with everything including the replacement parts (which I for sure needed) I'm not very good with it but it's fun! Only problem is the main gear needs to be pushed up frequently

Review from a newb (noob), March 26, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Blade mCP X v2 RTF I heard all the naysayers that this heli is not for someone that has only had the $20 heli from costco, but as usual i ignored everyone, got it anyway.
So far i find it to be fun and rewarding to fly, just be aware of a few things.
1. Do NOT fly it in your house, unless you live in a gymnasium. It moves too fast and when you hit solid objects, that's how you break it or whatever you hit.
2. Do NOT fly it near yourself or other people, tried landing it in my hand like i did with that $20 costco chopper, took about 2 weeks for the deep cut it made in my finger to heal (obviously i have to learn things the hard way). When people say it will draw blood, they are NOT lying.
3. Buy phoenix simulator so you can practice on bad days, it's helpful and fun.
Here's some things you will want or need as spares and upgrades. Nobody had a list, so i made one.
a. Plenty of dog bones (or whatever you call them), i'd keep at least 20 on hand, don't... Read more
