This review is from: Duratrax Onyx 245 AC/DC Charger w/Balancing (Toy) I purchased this for my son's Traxxas Slash so he wouldn't have to 8 hours to charge his batteries. This thing works GREAT! It charges lipo batteries, can charge two dissimilar batteries at the same time, charges up to 5a AND has its own built in power supply which most of the other multi-battery chargers don't. It also comes with all the different plug ends, balance adapters etc and can be plugged into a wall outlet or connected to a 12v car battery.
Don't be mislead (as I almost was) by a charger that will charge 3 or 4 batteries at a time, they all require a separate, large, powerful and expensive power supply to operate, usually at least doubling the price of the unit.
This one charges my 2s 5000mah lipos in around 20-30 minutes and my 3s 5000mah lipo in around 40 minutes. We have 3 batteries always charged this way and my son can race for as long as he wants without having to stop except to swap out the batteries.

Almost bought a Hyperion charger, but for less money, i have a dual charger and is already set up to run on AC/DC current. Used it right away when I got it, came with all sorts of connectors for various types of batteries, charger was as is, just like it was described on Amazon. Worked perfectly, took a little over an hour to charge both of my 7.2v 4000mah lipo batteries. It took about 30 minutes to charge my two 7.2v 2000NiCd batteries that came with my 1/10 brushless buggies. Anyway, highly reccommend this charger, easy to use, instructions are plainly written and not to mention intelligently..some of the other instructions for other chargers out there are horrible based on what I read online, but overall really happy with this charger: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OTX7LG/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

However, I only charge LiPo batteries. It's not only inconvenient to have to switch the setting to LiPo every time as well as switch the charging rate every time, but I'm concerned that one of these day's I'm going to forget to switch the setting the LiPo and blow up my batteries. This charger needs either a way to detect what type of batteries are connected or it needs to remember the settings so I don't have to reenter them every time. Maybe I should have bought a LiPo only charger?
