I purchased two of these for my son and myself when we got into R/C cars. These are very easy to use right out of the box. If you know that you are going to go LiPo down the road I would suggest saving your pennies and getting a charger that charges both NiMh and LiPo. You won't regret the investment down the road. However, if you know that you'll be sticking with NiMh batts then don't be afraid of this charger, it will serve you well. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Great for the begginer like me!!, March 21, 2006 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Dynamite Prophet Plus II AC/DC Peak Charger DYN4054 (Toy) works well, charges a 6 pack of ni-ch batts on 1 amp safely in an hour. i use this for an hpi savage ss. 2 amp will charge in 30 min, 4 amps 15 minutes. but i stick with the 1 amp to save the battery. im a rookie at this battery/ charger thing. but i would recommend it.
