Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Extended Front and Rear Body Mounts:SLH 2WD (Toy) I purchased this product because I had ordered a clear Proline lexan body for the Slash 2wd and the instructions said I needed Body mount extenders.
This looked like it fit my needs, however when I got the product I noticed that this mount kit uses small plastic and brass Screw-on Caps to hold the body down. The top mounts are threaded rods instead of the rounded off posts with a horizontal hole for a clevis pin.
This is not a bad thing, just not what I expected. A few concerns is, if I loose one , can I buy the caps without having to buy a full body mount kit, will the top threaded metal posts scratch the underside of the body when you try to mount it and will the Caps stay on while running the truck. They may vibrate loose, but there is a small O ring on each post to prevent that somewhat.
The mount structure is rock solid and my son asked me if these towers might break. I told him to try and break the empty leftover plastic tree the parts came on and he... Read more
