 Pro-Line 2.8 Dirt Hawg, September 26, 2012 This review is from: Pro-Line Racing 1175-00 Dirt Hawg 2.8" (Traxxas Style Bead) All Terrain Tires (Toy) With a name like Dirt Hawg you would expect a tire that would have awesome traction in dirt. Well I was disappointed to say the least. Dirt Hawgs are a fish out of water when it comes to dirt. I ran them on a clay / sand track and I was spinning & drifting almost uncontrollable. After wetting the track they clogged with dirt which made traction just as bad as in dry conditions. Needless to say they are not Grass Hawgs either, average to medium grass stops them in their tracks. With that being said, I do give them credit on paved surfaces. Maybe they should be renamed to Road Hawgs. On pavement they give fair traction in the rear, however they really shine on the front. They are great with turning and high speeds. If your looking for tire that handles dirt like it's on pavement try Pro-Line's Bad Lands. You will not be disappointed. Its traction is second to none.  Great tires, February 9, 2012 This review is from: Pro-Line Racing 1175-00 Dirt Hawg 2.8" (Traxxas Style Bead) All Terrain Tires (Toy) Bought these as replacements for the rear tires on my Traxxas Rustler XL-5, and put them on #3772 wheels. The tires appear to be the same circumference as the stock tires, so I didn't need to change the pinion gear. They're great off-road, and have pretty good traction on pavement too.
