Best Knuckles I've Used, March 6, 2013 This review is from: RPM 73165 Axle Carriers Blue 1/16 Traxxas Blue (Toy) I've tried a a few knuckles on my MERV and these are the best. The pillow ball action is the best, very smooth. It is very easy to set the pressure on the ball to get smooth, almost friction-less action, yet have no play. The aluminum knuckles I've tried do have a delrin or nylon insert on the outside (under their adjustment screw), but the inboard side of the knuckle was simply aluminum and it was impossible to get a good, no-play fit on the ball without excess friction. I ran last weekend with these up front and the stock knuckles in the back. I was racing hard on an asphalt course. I broke 4 rear knuckles! These didn't break and only required a tension adjustment one time during the day (after a particularly heavy front end hit on a curb!) The bearing spacing seems a little smaller than stock, so you may want to shim behind the wheel hex adapter pin. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
