Simple to install, February 28, 2013 By Todd (philadelphia area NJ) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: RPM 80402 Shock Guards Black Traxxas Black (Toy) I bought these as a cost-effective way to protect my shocks after I crashed my Bandit and broke the bottom plastic part off one of the front shocks. Rather than buy just that piece, I decided to spend only a couple more bucks and get these quality RPM upgrades. They look awesome and I know RPM makes the best rc plastics. They stand behind their products also with a lifetime warranty! I believe they are USA designed and made too, so I will always buy RPM products. Only slightly tricky part of the install is that you must re-use your own ball that goes into the shock bottom---the part that the screw goes through to hold the shock to the A-arm. It just pops out though with a little force and then you pop it into the RPM part. It took me about 15 mins from start to finish and I'm sure other people could do it quite a bit faster. Excellent, easy to install, American-made product, gotta love that!

These are not a quick insert, just be aware. Otherwise they do offer bashing protection... have fun!
