Exceeded Expectations, November 14, 2011 By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: U806 Ultra Stable Mini 3.5 Channel Army Military Huey Indoor RC Helicopter with Built-in Gyro Gyroscope RTF I was not expecting much from this chopper but I have been amazed by the quality and durability. This is my first remote control anything, even though I spent my youth building balsa models of all kinds of aircraft. I was able to fly this thing immediately, and even though I've bounced it off the ceiling a few times and crashed it into nearly everything else (except my wife - which is why I am alive to write this review), nothing has broken and nothing is out of whack. I use my iPhone's AC adapter and the USB cable included to recharge the chopper after a little over 10 minutes of flying time. It recharges in less than 45 minutes, which leaves enough time to think about what you might do better on your next flight.
The controls are a little touchy, but very responsive and not the least bit erratic. I start with the remote off and the chopper on. To "arm" the remote unit, after turning it on, you cycle the left joystick up and back once, which changes the flashing light on... Read more

Great little heli, November 29, 2011 By Michael Stern (Los Angeles, CA, US) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: U806 Ultra Stable Mini 3.5 Channel Army Military Huey Indoor RC Helicopter with Built-in Gyro Gyroscope RTF This is my 4th mini RC heli and probably the second best performing behind the 108G followed by the 107G as third best, IMO. The only drawback to this little model (aside from being IR controlled) is that it is slightly tail heavy, and with small rotor blades, it is louder than the 107/108G. Equally annoying are the small plastic skids that snag pile carpet easily, but this may not be an issue for all users. This heli has an all plastic exterior which makes it light in weight and nimble to control and so far robust enough to withstand reasonable crashes - if this is your first RC copter there will be many crashes...
The elevator control is not spring loaded like the 107/108G which takes some getting used to for beginners, but is easy to adapt to. The light switch on the controller (turns led light on the heli on and off) is super cool for battery saving and night flight. The copter is relatively fast and responsive, more than my 107G models, and is stable in both in flight... Read more

It flys pretty good and looks awesome. The reaction time from the remote to the heli is instant. It doesnt fly very fast though the the motors are extremely loud. Actually, the motors on this one are the loude3st of all the helis Ive had and/or have. The red light in the cockpit really makes this helicopter stand out in looks.
All in all, I give it a 4 star review. It would have been a 5 Star if it was a bit quicker and a little less noisy.
UPDATE: After operating this heli for a couple of hours, I come to find the reaction time to the remote isnt quite as instant as I first thought. It does fly and everything works as a whole. However, for the price at $30 bucks, Im not quite as happy with this purchase. I have had better flying units at 20 bucks. Even though this helicopter looks awesome I would expect a better operating unit over all. Ive decided to return this one simply because it doesnt operate as expected for 30 bucks.
