Incredible Device!, March 1, 2013 By This review is from: WLtoys V929 Beetle 4-Axis Quadcopter Dexterous Mini UFO RTF These little quads are one of the best engineered flying machines I have ever seen. I have 7 of them currently, actually 4 are the V949's (identical except has LED lights and different canopies). I have learned to replace anything breakable or expendable on them. All replacement parts are available from a company in China (Banggood). I fly mine using a better radio (Turnigy 9X) which makes them into a completely different machine, much more controlable.
The one tricky aspect of them, which is not well explained in the poorly translated instructions included, is how to bind properly with the transmitter. What has to happen is:
With transmitter off, connect the quad's battery and quickly set it down on a perfectly LEVEL surface. Then as soon as the little red LED starts blinking rapidly, switch the transmitter on. Don't touch, or in any way move the quad till the LED stays on solid (no blinking). Now you're ready to fly.

Play with this each day and you will see a difference in how your skills improve. Even from a wheel chair, the V929 is easily setup and fly.
Haven't been outside yet to fly the Beetle. Inside, even if you have a small room you can still fly and maneuver at Low level, of course the more Area you have is even better.
My pets go 'wacky' over the Beetle, but BEWARE, the blades will sting if they put their face to close and they may damage the Qcopter if stepped on..if you have the Controller on, and the controller is your lap, and accidentally push forward the left controller while reaching for the beetle, the engines will engage and you you may be stung by a propeller. Just use common sense, as with any mechanical device.

was very unbalanced out of the box, couldn't trim it correctly.
figured out if you plug it all in, then run it, then unplug and replug, it will then fly balanced. Don't see other ppl with this issue online but it was with mine. This thing is indestructible and super fun to fly.
