This review is from: 3.5ch Hawkspy LT-711 RC Helicopter with Gyro and Spycam - Red I got this helicopter on sale post Christmas for $75 + SH.
For 80+ dollars this toy is a lot of fun. It is way larger than what I expected. I was originally going to purchase the LT7112 which is cheaper and meant to fly indoors but my daughter really liked the led lights on the 711 videos and since the 711 was on sale the price difference was only 10$. This is a large helicopter and although some of the utube videos we saw were done indoors I don't see how any sane person can fly this indoors at least not while learning to fly it.
It requires no assembly and it is pretty much ready to fly as soon as you charge the battery. The instructions are short and graphic and get the job done but are clearly translated awkwardly. They are easy to figure out though. The fact that they are written probably by someone in China makes one take the warnings about the battery exploding while charging seriously so I charge it away from anything remotely flammable and don't leave it charging... This review is from: 3.5ch Hawkspy LT-711 RC Helicopter with Gyro and Spycam - Red Customer Video Review Length:: 1:35 Mins
ok the 1st thing wrong with this is the very small tail rotor I replaced it with one from the Sky King 8005 and now it actually will hoover in place even in the slight breeze, but watch how high you go this has no where the signal distance as any of the double horse 9000 series helo's, 50 feet is the max as high as you want to take it, check out the video I took with it of course I edited the video and slowed it down but takes a really good video, did not like the angle of the camera so I loosened the 2 back screws on the camera and dropped it about 3/8 of inch cant wait to try it now, even this video I had dropped the back of the camera by a 1/4 of an inch, this hovers very smooth, the blades on this are just to small to make do any type of good forward flying but I know they used the smaller blades for a much better stable smooth hover. when this starts to loose signal land it now as the battery is going dead, 1st day I got this something must have been... Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 3.5ch Hawkspy LT-711 RC Helicopter with Gyro and Spycam - Red This was a Christmas present for my 13 year old son. On our first flight in the park we went a little to high and the helicopter lost it's signal. The helicopter came tumbling down from about 50 feet on wet grass. The helicopter was broke and bent all over the place. A little heart broken, because it seemed to have a lot of potential for fun. So I'ld say one part our fault for going as high as we did, but I can't believe how demolished it was for landing on soft wet grass.
