Big Chopper!, December 10, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 53" Extra Large GT QS8006 2 Speed 3.5 Ch RC Helicopter Builtin GYRO Red First of all this thing is big, but not 53" as advertised more like 47" It is the size of 700 that costs ten times what this model costs, hard to control in any kind of wind as it has primative gyro and slow to respond servos. You get what u pay pay for , however it is a fun toy and impressive looking, parts are cheap and available as you are going to need them when you loose the signal from the 27 htz transmitter/receiver set up. If they would only upgrade this thing to a 4 channel 2.4 ghz with just slightly better electronics this thing would be absolutely awesome and I personally would buy several.

= Educational: This review is from: 53" Extra Large GT QS8006 2 Speed 3.5 Ch RC Helicopter Builtin GYRO Red So far so good. Full charge seems to work about 10 minutes or so. The length is actually around 48-49 inches. Slightly sluggish, slow to respond due to size. LEDs on side (in those missle-looking things) stopped working. Forward/Reverse could stand improvement; large prop maybe. Tends to lurch backward upon takeoff. I would recommend fastening a small weight of some type in the very front of the hood; needs just a bit of forward weight. Removing and re-attaching hood/canopy is very difficult. Comes in 2 pieces. Attaching, securing tail boom is very difficult because the power coupling gets in the way. I recommend that you don't detach for storage. Try to improvise some sort of cardboard box to keep it in.
