The truth is, this IS a great toy!!! But it shoudl not be your first RC heli if you are not used to such items. You are working with an actual force of nature that is fluid (AIR) and no matter how stable something is, the air will alway change performance dynamically.
This heli is powerful (compared to a mini) and is great fun now that I am experienced. I spent many days/weeks practicing with my mini landing it from table to table and all sorts of things so that I am aware of wind dynamics with the larger one.
When starting out, this heli demands caution but an attitude to move forward. If you are too timid, you will overreact, or never just drive the thing. a moving boat can be steered, but a still boat (hovering heli) is more subject to a cross wind crashing it. -meaning, when you are actually flying it, it has more strength to stay on its... It is just a bit shorter than the Syma S301G, and flies as stable and as good. Charging time is average, and flying time is also average for about 7-8 minutes. It hovers well, making smooth turns, pick-up speed is a bit slower than the Syma S301G even with the "Fast" witch being witched on. My 9051A Eagle came in with a bad battery, wouldn't charge. A replacement cost me $4, and $5 shipping (ended up bought 2 batteries for same shipping cost). I meant to keep both and i enjoy them very much. Great looking birds. It works with other Double Horse 3-channel controllers, so I use the same controller for all of my DH helis, save room ad save batteries.
