FUN! (But not indestructible), February 23, 2013 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ExceedRC Ladybird V2 Devo 4 Ready to Fly RC Mini Quad 4 Channel (Blue) (Toy) All-around FUN, but a with a slightly steeper learning curve than the box leads you to believe. This is the first hovering RC aircraft I've ever flown (lots of simulator experience, though). The 3-axis gyro does it's job, but I can immediately see where a 6-axis gyro system would be better. With the 3-axis, it immediately returns to level when you release the stick, but your momentum causes the craft to continue to 'drift' in whatever direction you were moving. This thing is tiny... Orientation gets tricky at not-really-that-far distances. A 6-axis gyro would stop it in its place, which would be nice for this tiny thing.
The Devo4 Tx leaves some to be desired, but it gets the job done. The throttle is super-soft and very sensitive, which makes rudder-coordinated turns a little tricky. The sensitive throttle makes hovering a little tricky. Vertical acceleration is ridiculously fast! Low-rate mode is VERY anemic on rudder. It is only good for learning how to hover,... Read more

Awesome, February 15, 2013 = Durability:
= Fun:
= Educational:
Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ExceedRC Ladybird V2 Devo 4 Ready to Fly RC Mini Quad 4 Channel (Blue) (Toy) Just got this quad yesterday and flew it a few times inside. I am very impressed with how stable and fun it is. When on high rates it's also very agile and quick. It will find the walls in your house quickly. But it seems to be very durable. I can't wait to get it into an open space and really let it go. If you have never flown a quad before this is a great place to start. I think it will also be very fun for people with experience in RC helicopters or quads. I see it as a stepping stone into CP or a CP trainer for now. Great investment!
