Awesome helicopter, at 3 times the price of Syma S107, it is WELL worth it for beginners, August 18, 2011 By = Durability:
= Fun:
= Educational:
This review is from: FHX Heli RTF (Toy) The Force brand is Horizon hobbies brand, probably made for them by the company that makes Blade helicopters, etc. The MH-35 and the FHX are basically the same under the hood (I own both), and are designed to do battle with each other. I will focus solely on flying aspects, especially for beginners, etc. and compare it to the Syma S107 (which I also own)
My first R/C heli was a Syma S107 and it was an exercise in frustration. I wanted a beginner/medium heli that would work well and not cost an arm and a leg. You can see my S107 review elsewhere. The S107 had too many problems and was limited in what it could do. I decided that I would stay away from Syma and started looking for alternatives. I quickly realized that you get what you pay for. I figured that I'd spend up to $100, including shipping, but no more. I went through a couple hours, at least, of research, looking into Colco, Walkera, Blade, etc, trying to see what was there and reading reviews, RC groups etc. I then... Read more

Amazing micro heli, May 9, 2011 = Durability:
= Fun:
= Educational:
This review is from: FHX Heli RTF (Toy) I wrote a review just recently on this heli's twin, the MH-35. All the comments relative to that review are identical as the only difference I can see from the two helicopters is that they have a different color/shape outer shell, and this one (the red one) has little plastic silhouettes for where the machine guns would be next to the infra red light.
I just purchased 2 of these from a local hobby store (the FHX and MH-35) and went to Amazon to read reviews. I had seen other reviews that were quite favorable and thought I would share what I found. I bought this for my son's birthday and rightfully he insisted that he wanted me to play with one too as they can "dogfight" each other with an infrared light each helicopter has that can be triggered from the transmitter/controller.
First thing I noticed was how extremely light each of the helicopters were. The outer shell is made of a durable bendable plastic that clips on two posts on each side of the helicopter... Read more
Excellent choppers!, December 28, 2011 By = Durability:

This review is from: FHX Heli RTF (Toy) I agree 100% with the review posted by re-view-eR and would add the following:
These helicopters are based on the very popular Blade MCX2 helicopters made by E-Flite. The Force RC Combo Pack basically gives you two choppers and controllers for the price of one. A fully charged battery is good for about 4 - 5 minutes of flight.
If you are new to RC helicopters, like I was, I'd suggest starting with very basic movements before you actually try to fly around. This is especially IMPORTANT with kids. Learn to hover and land, move straight forward and straight back. Learn side to side movement. Then progress to flying rectangles where you move forward, stop, turn right 90 degrees, move forward, repeat. When you can fly the rectangles, then move to continous rectangles, circles, and finally figure eights.
These little choppers are very durable when you take the time to learn them and learn the SAFE way to crash, and you WILL crash. Cut the power the... Read more
