Great Graphics AND Physics, January 18, 2013 By Mike G "Mike" (FL, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Great Planes RealFlight 6.5 Heli Edition w/Interlink Mode 2 GPMZ4482 (Toy) NOTE: I own Phoenix Flight Simulator and use it with a DX6i
I've played with this sim in my local hobby shop a few times. It wasn't my first choice as a sim because I was lead to believe that having the ability to use your own TX was better than using RealFlight's Interlink controller. I ended up purchasing this because I felt that the Physics in Phoenix Flight Simulator was not up to par with "real life". Where I could fly any heli or plane with ease in Phoenix, RealFlight's superior physics makes it seem more fitting to developing your skill.
I also would like to point out to would be buyers that the Interlink controller that is shipped with this product comes with several adapters so that you may use your own TX instead.
For me this was a great purchase. Also of note, I've dealt with the seller previously and have continually been satisfied with service and shipping.

Great Simulator, worth the investment!, February 12, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Great Planes RealFlight 6.5 Heli Edition w/Interlink Mode 2 GPMZ4482 (Toy) When you think of this simulator as a "game", then perhaps it's hard to justify spending $200.00 on it. However... this is not just a game. As the name suggests, it's a simulator. If you're thinking of buying an RC Heli, already have an RC heli and want to move up, or just want to practice your skills, this software is the way to go. It will allow you to hone your skills without risking anything. If you crash your virtual $4,000 RC Heli, all you have to do is press the handy "reset" button on the remote and you're good to go again. If you crash your REAL $4,000 RC Heli... then you may have to go check your bank account before you're good to fly again. The investment you make on this simulator will definitely pay itself by preventing costly crashes with the real thing! Highly recommended.

Real Flight 6.5, February 13, 2013 By = Durability:

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Great Planes RealFlight 6.5 Heli Edition w/Interlink Mode 2 GPMZ4482 (Toy) Just loaded up my real flight 6.5 onto my computer with Windows XP. Everything worked just fine, having had a previous real flight, I was a little familiar with the product. Thew helicopter is what I was most interested in, and I must say, that it is very stable, once you get it trimmed out. If you don't trim the helicopter out, you will not be able to hold it in a 40 acre field.
I have about 8,500 hours flying a real helicopter, and the only thing that isn't quit real is when it is sitting on the ground and you apply collective, it seems to jump around, which a real helicopter doesn't do(I am talking about during an average assent). Also, the engine RPM changes a lot which doesn't happen on a real turbine helicopter because once at 100% the engine RPM remains the same. But I understand models and the need to increase power with the sound.
Would recommend this product to anyone who desires to fly a model from almost any aircraft to almost any helicopter.
