4 of 4 people found the following review helpful  Awesome little control board, October 28, 2012 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: KKmulticopter V5.5 Board V2.2 Program + USB Programmer Firmware Loader If im not mistaken the board comes pre loaded to fly a quadcopter in + configuration, but it can be re-flashed with whatever you want, and in my case it was with tricopter firmware. The board comes with a usb stick w/ cable for loading new firmware and two servo leads for connecting the reciever to the board. In order to re-flash the board for different flying configurations you will need to download two items. The first is a driver for the usb an it is called USBasp driver. The next one is the program for selecting and uploading the firmware type, its called KKMultirotor Flash Tool. Both of these can be found through google, just download the ones compatible with your computers Operating System. They were a bit tricky to setup at first, but now that i got them going i can re-flash my board to a different multirotor setup in about 5 seconds. It was a real pain in the neck to find the right drivers at first but then I saw on YouTube a review from Test Flight that featured the Hobby King KK Board. These boards are the same and carry the same firmware and drivers, so I followed the instructions on the video about how to flash and use the board and I was able to get my computer to recognize the flashing tool and the board in a matter of minutes. Overall the board works but needs alot of tweaking to work right. I haven't used it for a week straight but I think I'm going to go with a different board for my quadcopter. Not because this one is faulty but because I don't like the programming aspect of it. I would rather have dip switches to change the characteristic of the board. Overall it is a great buy for the price, the shipping was too long though. I buy things from China all the time but man, this took for every to get to me in Florida from China.
