Great, and Easy to fly., November 6, 2012 By = Durability:

This review is from: Propel RC Gyropter 3 Channel IR Gyro Helicopter (colors may vary) As someone who has flown MANY of these little toy helicopters and gets much enjoyment from them, this one is one of the easiest to fly I've ever seen. Now, please keep in mind that this is a FLYING MACHINE, not a remote control car and there is a LEARNING CURVE. You can't expect to fly it perfectly right out of the box, even ones with built-in gyro stability like this one take practice to get good at it.
PROS:
-Much easier to fly than most on the market in a similar price range.
-Out-performs ones that are double the price.
-Durable, metal frame and highly flexible rotors, plus replacement parts.
CONS:
-Charges from the remote control which eats AA batteries like crazy and the remote takes 6 AA's at that! I found a solution to this issue, a USB charger on ebay that's well worth the cost considering the price of buying the AA's to keep these going.

It's a great little toy and flies well indoors. After some... Read more

This review is from: Propel RC Gyropter 3 Channel IR Gyro Helicopter (colors may vary) For starters this has been adult flown only.(1 month old) So far i have put about 14 flights on it with no breaks or issues other than some scuffed walls and scratched blades. Its pretty easy to master and is much more controllable on a full charge. I can hover it all around and do some maneuvers now. Its faily stable and fun to maneuver around the kitchen with. I feel it may be a bit too hard to fly without crashing often for say maybe the 13 and under age group. So far its held up to various crashes and drops. It does come with extra blades. i did brake a dogbone connection onto the balance shaft, which does not come as extra. I swapped it over to the other side and was ok to fly again. It takes about 10-15 min to charge the heli and you get about 6-10 minutes of fly time. Not sure about the long term quality since mines only 1 month old. If i remenber next christmas ill update this review than.
Id really give it 3.5 stars but that was not an option. It seems more on... Read more

Fun + incredible durability = this helicopter, May 22, 2011 By This review is from: Propel RC Gyropter 3 Channel IR Gyro Helicopter (colors may vary) Electronic toys and devices are not strange to me but this is my 1st heli. Based on other online comments, decided to buy it yesterday when I was with my wife in a mall. To my surprise, this heli is incredibly durable and really easy to fly. It comes with spare wings, a nice bonus for the price. You will get the basics after a couple of minutes. It is extremely stable as well which I've read is hard to find on helis of same size and price. I've had lot of fun flying since I have it and even after one or two hard crashes is still working like nothing, has a great construction. The bad: charges in about 20 min but flying time is really poor, 5 min. only. I wish they can sacrifice weight and manoeuvrability for a better flying time. Other than that, I would recommend this to any adult or kid looking for his 1st indoor heli. And remember, this is for indoor use only. You need zero air current or breeze for better stability and control.
