This review is from: Protocol 3 Channel Remote Control Big Black Hawk Helicopter with Gyro I am a 44 yr man and I love to collect and fly these rc helicopters. I have owned maybe 25 or 30 of them over the last 5 yrs. I think Protocol 3 Channel Remote Control Big Black Hawk Helicopter is a winner all around. it's easy to control with jus a little practice. It has alot of power and a good power source. sometimes with the small heli's it's the battery that fails b4 the electronic's but with this helli it seems to fly and fly and fly. It fliies good outdoors (with NO wind) and is alot of fun. its very sturdy and strongly build to. you may have to replace the blades but that is the case with all heli's. The only bad point is that the blades break easily and you have to go to the store and buy a kit for 11 dollars.

This review is from: Protocol 3 Channel Remote Control Big Black Hawk Helicopter with Gyro I purchased this helicopter from best buy about a year ago. Surprisingly, it still flies! However, after about the 300th crash the rear Forward/Backward motor stopped working. So it is now more of an indoor helicopter that still flies well. I am now relying on the gyroscope inside of it to maneuver it, which surprisingly has worked out fine. One major thing though, this thing is VERY sensitive to wind, and has a very big climb rate. I tried flying it in about a 5 mph wind and I got it to about 100 feet, until I completely lost control and it fell 100 feet to solid concrete. After this crash (which was my biggest) the only damage it faced was lose landing gear (fixed with epoxy) and a small crack in the frame (also fixed with epoxy. This thing has been through a lot and I am more than impressed with the durability. It really isn't that hard to control, and on a full charge (takes about an hour) I could fly it for about 20 minutes! It also features a series of led lights which makes... Read more
