Much Better Than the Old One, December 19, 2012 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Syma S34 3 Channel Chinook RC Helicopter 2.4ghz (Camo) (Toy) Just got this Heli yesterday I have the old s022 this one Is so much better fly's very well inside or outside,she will go up fast but don't try to come down as fast as you went up but thats true with all my heli's,,Its a lot of fun,,very nice I like this one alot the 2.4ghz makes it fly rings around its older brother,,*Up Date,12/24 christmas eve, Well during the 4 flight I took the S34 about 50 feet or so up was bringing her back down bucause the wind had started to gust just a bit she did a little wiggle the bar and blade on the rear hit thought I lost her but she came down and I didn't crash but when I got close to the ground she was flying but didn't want to go forward so I landed,, the top rotor on the back was not turning very good,,hope its one of the gears just slid down Its late so I'll try to fix her tomorrow Glad I have the old s022 in case something is broke,,(free parts)And the s34 will fly with a little wind just don't turn too quick at high speed even when their is no... With the S34 controlled by 2.4Ghz frequency that problem is nonexistant. Very stable copter. Flys well outdoors with little to no wind. Another plus is if you do own a model S022 most of the parts on that model will interchange with the S34. parts savings. This helicopter is a 1000% improvment. I hope Syma will upgrade all of their large helicopter to the 2.4Ghz technology.
Great Heli!, April 17, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Syma S34 3 Channel Chinook RC Helicopter 2.4ghz (Camo) (Toy) I was a little hesitant to buy this helicopter after reading so many negative reviews on the previous version. This one doesn't have those issues and flies as well as advertised. It's an easy heli to fly - as long as you don't get heavy handed with the throttle. The throttle is a bit touchy, but it doesn't take long to get used to. This thing has a respectable amount power and moves pretty fast for a coaxial, so you do have to "think ahead" of it when flying in a confined indoor area. Flies great outside if there's minimal to no breeze. The helicopter is a lot of fun - and out of the four coaxials that I own, this one is my favorite ... hands down. So much so, that I plan to buy a second one (the light blue/gray one). Syma hit a home run with this one!
