I bought two, one for my friend and one for me. Since my friend lives 1000 miles away, it was a while before I got to get my hands on it, having sent both of them to him for Christmas. Yesterday (April 7) I got to try it out. The instructions are written in broken English, badly translated from Chinese. The battery is difficult to plug in, and even more difficult to remove. It was hard to get the Rx to bind to the Tx. But with those hurdles overcome I did finally get the copter airborne, I had some experience with a two bladed helicopter and had some flight experience with a quadcopter simulator. Both helped, but were not enough to enable me to master this right out of the box. I am still in the learning mode, but it is just too much fun. The noise it makes is obnoxiously satisfying, especially while my wife is trying to watch TV. It scares the cat for now, but I have a feeling that won't last and this... Read more

It is fairly resistant, it has crashed a number of times against furniture, ceiling, x-mas tree, etc. and so far ony one helix is bent, but not yet broken, however, additional spare parts to the extra set should be included, as once there is no extra helix, it becomes a piece of electronic trash.

Had to re-solder the connection to the board when the battery connection wire came off. Not sure how it compares in quality relative to the Ladybird.
