fun but A little harder to control than others in the price range, January 23, 2013 This review is from: Venom Kodiak Helicopter (Toy) My toddler (a.k.a. the Pizzmeister) is a helicopter freak, which is great because i like them too. :) Altogether, we have about 10 of them, and this little kodiak ranks low to mid out of all the ones we own.
Pro:
-Plenty of Power
-A full list of replacement parts
-comes assembled
-wall charged, which is super awesome because otherwise you'd be draining your remote batteries like crazy.
-plenty of range
-flight time length is decent. We averaged between 15-20 minutes, which is quite good for these things
-the transmitter has an excellent feel
-parts are easily upgrade-able
Con:
-Not really an outdoor helicopter (any little bit of wind sends this spiraling out of control)
-Not really an indoor helicopter (it is just large enough to make flying in the average home awkward)
-transmitter has too many fake buttons and knobs. I like things to be plain and simple
-had to tear the helicopter down and rebuild... Read more

Best to use Heli in a wide open area and not around pets!, February 21, 2012 This review is from: Venom Kodiak Helicopter (Toy) I found it best to use the heli in a large open area free of obstructions. I accidentally stepped behind my kitchen counter while flying my heli and I think it broke contact signal with the controller, lost control and crashed. Luckily, if you do have an accident with the heli and find that you have broken a part...a full line of replacement parts are available at venom-group.com. The Kodiak is considered a hobby toy and all parts are replaceable.
