Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: XIEDA 9958 2.4GHZ 4CH RC SINGLE BLADE HELICOPTER RTF (Toy) This is my 4th heli, the first 2 were the micros you would see flying around the mall a few years back. They were fun but lacked control. After a couple weeks, I was bored and decided to order a Blade CX2. It was much more manueverable and gave me a run for my money skill wise. I didnt have enough room in the house to have much fun with it so it didnt get used a whole lot. A few weeks ago, I got the itch to try another heli out and figured the very small size would allow for more enjoyment in the limited space I have available. After a bit of research, I settled on the 9958 because it could bind to the Turnigy 9x transmitter that I'd already ordered and it had some decent reviews from other sources. I also wanted to stay away from the coax helis and try something a bit more difficult to fly but not too tough.

bought 2 more of the GW 9958 one came flying perfect as the video from this review shows and you can see the 1080p version of it over at youtube, I have the blade MSR paddle flybar coming in this weekend suppose to just a drop replacement, will see.
took a stab and got this when nitroplanes has it on sale for $30.00, as I already own a V911 4 channel single blade micro I knew how to fly these, but wow this thing is twice as fast as the V911, while the V911 is rock stable and hovers hands free inside and outside, the 9958 is strictly an outside side bird and while it tends to have a strange TBE when hovering, dont even try it inside, maybe in a area the size of a 2 call garage. its ok for hover stability, but outside just fly it and be amazed, very fast, tight turns, tends to favor left turns over right, which is just the opposite of the V911. I wish I had video of me flying it like I do the V911. one thing when you hit hard the... Read more

This one is a lot different. The helicopter has tons of speed and doesn't hover particularly well. I broke a piece on one of the main blades the first day, but it came with a couple extras, so that was a quick fix. After a ton of crashes, I took it outside. It really seems better suited for outdoors. Fly it in a field rather than a parking lot while learning. It really zips around and is well worth the money. Probably not much of a better helicopter out there for $50. I've read the V911 is comparable and more stable inside than this one, but can't zip around as fast outside. That's ok....I'll stick to my Syma's inside and use this one outdoors. Found some really cheap batteries and usb cables at miracle mart.....bought 4 of each there, and I'm gonna pair them up with a 5 hub usb charger I bought from ebay for $5. This should give me flight time 30-40 minutes straight after I have them all charged up. Overall, highly recommended. I've read that it... Read more
