Great R/C Scale Military Helicopter, June 8, 2011 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: YD-911 Defender w/ Army Figures (I used my wife's account to order this helo - hence I am NOT Delailah). I have flown R/C aircraft in the past. I build them as well. Prior to this, I built dozens of scale plastic helicopters, ships, and submarines. For me, if the R/C helicopter/aircraft does not look real, then I do not even bother with it. I am a physician now with 3 small kids so I have very limited time. I cannot spend 5 hours a night building an R/C airplane. I bought the helicopter for a science museum I am going to create in the Philippines to show kids engineering principles. I am VERY SATISFIED with this helicopter. It looks scale with its flat olive drab finish, it has panelling and rivet details, and really nice looking lights that give it a scale appearance when flying in a semi-dark room. It has a little more inertia than the small helicopters (the ones that fit in your hand), but is just as stable - if not more stable. Gradually goes down so don't worry about crashing. Pretty squirley. Took me about 20 times before I went outside and flew in the driveway. I'm a slow learner. Even the sligtest breeze affects it in flight. Keep it within 6 feet above the ground is best. Seems with every advancement on the throttle the copter reacts differently. Fun Helicopter but not enough time on the battery. Wish it had more.

Then the air craft wouldn't move forward, only back. after charging i turned it on and i smelled burning electronics.after opening it up, the motor burnt out and the wires had smoldered. couldn't return b/c had after 2 weeks. bad heli don't buy
