Yiboo UJ4801 RC Helicopter, December 24, 2012 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: YIBOO UJ 4801 Mini Metal Gyroscope 3.5 Channel Infrared 7" RC Helicopter There is only one review on this great helicopter and it is negative. You would be well advised to ignore that review. Any one can crash or break any RC helicopter and I have one that I have used almost a month. I have crashed mine many times because of not knowing how to operate RC helicopters or synchronize the gyro before flying. It is a great little helicopter and flies great. Very stable and almost indestructible. I have flown into the ceiling - backed off the throttle too fast and crashed from the ceiling to the floor several times, sometimes hitting tables but this great little helicopter keeps on flying and has never had damage. I would recommend this to anyone who wants one for flying in the house. No infrared control is to be used outside or in a room with a lot of windows unless the sun is closed off for sunlight defeats the controls.

We got this off a kiosk in the mall, already a terrible idea. Excited to use it after seeing it demonstrated we had to rush home and play with it right away. You have to charge it for 30 minutes and use 6 AA batteries just to get it off the ground. The product manual even says "After 30-60 minutes of charging, you will get about 6-10 minutes of fly time." LAME, but, whatever.
Right out of the box the first one broke on its maiden voyage. They are really hard to control and simple to lose control of. After the initial crash we spend about an hour trying to find all the tiny parts, the right screw driver and put the thing back together. Even after finding the parts and the tools the thing was DOA. There went $50 and 1.5 hours of which we spent only seconds in awe of the awesome flying abilities that this thing has. CRAP!
We had purchased two, one as a gift, so we figured we would return the other one and still salvage some fun. Maybe that was... Read more
