Not waterproof, February 2, 2012 By nands (trinidad) - See all my reviews This review is from: Traxxas 2075 Digital High-Torque Waterproof Servo (Toy) Don't be fooled. This servo is NOT WATERPROOF. It can handle light splashes but not submersion.Mine failed after a good hosedown and I found water inside it when I opened it to investigate.
Even though there are gaskets on the screws and on the casing, water can still enter through the wire entry point and at the top where the drive shaft exits the housing.
Not a bad servo though, just don't get it wet.

Rustler to VXL Upgrades, February 1, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Traxxas 2075 Digital High-Torque Waterproof Servo (Toy) Swapped my stock Rustler XL-5 for this servo after getting larger tires and the VXL upgrades. I noticed before I got this new servo that my turning radius was decreased drastically but after upgrading to this servo, the Rustler is moving like a champ again. 30 bucks for better steering is worth the upgrade. Get it.

I've not tested its water resistance underwater, but I had it out in the rain and salt air with a baggie over it and it survived fine. In my opinion, it's not a toy. It's a serious servo.
