I have raced and bashed mine and still no failures. Very well made shocks. Would recommend to any and all slash owners out there. You won't be upset if you buy these! Hope this helps. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful These Shocks are Great for My Traxxas Slash 4x4!!!, October 5, 2012 This review is from: Traxxas 5862 Big Bore Shock Complete Set for Slash (Toy) I replaced the stock shocks with these bad boys and they are awesome!!! You can definitely notice an improvement in the performance and handling!!! Great combination with the Traxxas 6898 Sway Bar Kit Slash 4x4!!! I highly recommend them both. Here's a video to help install these upgraded shocks. Side note: I was contemplating going with another brand of shocks, like the Pro-Line Racing series but I realized you would have to change a lot of other parts & it can get pretty costly and not as good quality/durability as brands like RPM and some Traxxas stuff. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Great shocks at a great price....... but......, January 3, 2012 This review is from: Traxxas 5862 Big Bore Shock Complete Set for Slash (Toy) The aluminum shocks are terrific and a huge upgrade from standard shocks. Although they are quite bland (no bling at all) they are way superior to the stockers. The caps quit popping off, they're much smoother and will make your rig handle better. The only but is..... you'll need some new rear springs for sure and may "want" to replace the fronts. The rear springs are just too dark weak by a mile.
