= Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Extreme Machines AWD Thunder XX Blue Radio Control Car Gun Type Controller Battery & Charger (Toy) I pulled it out of the box before giving it as a gift so I could charge the car battery and add the 9v remote battery so it would be ready for my gf's son to open. I ran it quickly outside and was happy with the 2 minute trial. It's pretty quick and did roll through grass (although at a slower speed).
The rechargeable battery was a bit different than I expected. The battery pack consisted of 4 AA batteries shrink wrapped together and connected through the charger/plug-in cable. I'm not sure at this point if that is good or bad, but I expected an actual battery block. This could be standard for under $30 and may make it cheaper to eventually replace worn out batteries. 6 hours for a charge seems decent, but worried if any kid will remember to unplug after 6 hours to prevent any damage. If you own a trickle charger with adapters this shouldn't be an issue.
The truck "shell" is pretty cheap. Thin plastic. Almost like plastic cardboard. It does look cool though and... Read more
