My 12 year old is having a blast~, December 26, 2009 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano - 1:20 Scale (Toy) We got this car for our 12 year old son for Christmas and he loves it! It has very responsive handling and a ton of speed. It's better for a bigger play space since the tires lack a lot of grip. It slides around a lot on our kitchen floor. It seems to be pretty durable. It's been crashed into furniture at full speed and is fine. Our son did clip a table leg with it and broke off a side rear view mirror, but it will be an easy fix with some super glue. Fun for Young Car Fans, December 25, 2009 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano - 1:20 Scale (Toy) My 5yo daughter who loves everything race-car received this for Christmas and has thoroughly enjoyed it. It seems to work best on our berber carpet (versus the tile in the kitchen where the wheels skid and slip). With two control knobs, it takes a steady hand to make the car turn while in the forward/backward motion and it has been a joy watching my daughter try to master this. The hand-eye, fine-motor skills required for these maneuvers is why I gave this toy a 4-star rating in the "educational" category. My 6yo daughter (who is not a car enthusiast) has also enjoy playing with it. At just over 9 inches long, it is a nice size (that is: not too big or too small). A bonus is that the car does not require batteries altho' my daughter was disappointed at first that she had to wait 4 hours for it to charge.
