BEST 50 DOLLARS IVE EVER SPENT, January 30, 2013 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: New & Improved WL V911 4 CH Single Rotor Helicopter Version 2 Red / White (Toy) I have minor prior experience with the syma s107 and a few days experience with the drift king, which i bought on amazon. My v911 came in the mail yesterday, 1-29-13 and let me tell you.. I simply cannot put it down! There really is no compassion between this and the cheaper rc helis. i get about 8-10 minutes of flight time with the 200 miliamp batteries. and they only take about a half hour to charge when fully depleted!. the red light will light up on the battery charger while its charging. and then will stop lighting up when finished. I am still getting used to flying this bad boy, still getting used to all the trims and everything but it really dosent need any adjustment. dont touch any of the trim setting out of the box at first. This heli has two flight modes. mode 1 and mode 2. mode 1 is very fast, and is the only mode i can handle atm because its soooo fast! mode 2 is even faster with better performance but way to fast to start out with. Remember to cut power before impact. Handles little to moderate crashes very well. With any heli just cut power before it hits, saves blades and gears.

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: New & Improved WL V911 4 CH Single Rotor Helicopter Version 2 Red / White (Toy) I had been messing around with a few other RC heli units and ran across this one. It is much more realistic flying experience than the 3.5ch IR birds. It takes considerably more skill to control the v911 and is far more fulfilling to operate. I would recommend against flying this without a fair amount of practice as it seems to be considerably more fragile than the other helis. The part I love best are the removable battery packs and 2 bay charger. I picked up a 5 pack of additional batteries to go with the 2 that came with the v911. The extras are longer and heavier with a longer runtime, however they do affect flight characteristics somewhat. I get all 7 charged up and have quite a bit of flight time without having to recharge.
UPDATE 1/6/13 - I was wrong about being fragile. This thing is a Timex and keeps on ticking after many crashes. Out of the box, it is setup in "expert" mode. By moving the dogbones to the shorter shafts and moving the control arms to the inner... Read more
