Excellent gift, May 2, 2009 By = Durability:

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Venom Ozone 3 - Ch R/C Helicopter - Black (Toy) I chose to give this toy to my 12 year old son, even though it states on the package that it is for ages 14 +. As soon as it arrived, he tore into it, with a little of my help we tweaked the trim a little, which by the way was soooo simple. He took it outside and off it went into the air. Boy, this little toy can climb. The battery inside the helicopter last for about ten minutes of flight, and recharges in less than thirty minutes. Of course my young one crashed several times before getting used to the controls, and I'll tell that this toy can take some pounding. It's best to wait until the wind is calm before trying to fly it outside. It's so light that even a gust can make it go wherever the wind blows it, but it's a lot of fun indoors too. The only reason I did not give this toy a five star rating is because of the battery cover on the radio control. My son complained that with the slightest touch it comes off. I was anticipating problems with a rotor or tail blade breaking and had ordered spares -- haven't been needed. We flew it for hours in the house, competing on time aloft and landing position -- it was great.
The controls worked fine. It does require some eye/hand coordination, but it didn't take us long to get used to it. It crashed into a bunch of walls and the Christmas tree, hit the ground, and was fine.
You can't just trim it and forget about it, but for the price it is great.
