This review is from: Viefly 688 JXD Metal Series 339 3CH RC Helicopter RTF w/ Gyro: Colors Vary between Orange & Gold Great little RC helicopter to fly indoors (does not work well outside).
LED lights are very cool to watch.
You need a little coordination to use the remote when flying.
Trying to control the UP/DOWN; Left/Right; Forward/Reverse; etc. at the same time isn't as easy as I thought. After many practice flights, it becomes easier and a lot of FUN!!
If yours stop working, and the bottom blades stop spinning....
DON'T THROW AWAY... its still good.
The same thing happened to me, crashing into walls and objects, I thought all was lost, and the helicopter was "finished".
You just need to find the little gear that came off, mine was stuck under the nose piece.
The impact and torque from the crashes caused the little gear for the bottom set of blades "B", to slip off the shaft of the small motor, or mis-aligned from touching the BIG sprocket gear. Take the helicopter apart, locate the gear, and slip the little gear back into... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Viefly 688 JXD Metal Series 339 3CH RC Helicopter RTF w/ Gyro: Colors Vary between Orange & Gold I've only flown this one a couple of times, but it seems very good. And I say this after having tried 7 other models. I like Viefly models because they are very durable, and do not tend to break easily...being that, they are lighter plastic units, but also because they seem to be built well. And they are easy to control. But they (like almost all plastic heli's) tend to shoot-up and hit the ceiling when first launched after a 'full charge' because they are so light weight. So, I decided to try this metal Viefly, and so far so good. It does tend to hit the ceiling 'sometimes' upon take-off (just after a full charge), so I have to be just a little pre-emptive in de-throttling the controller just after a full power take-off. But if I'm just a little careful, I can avoid that...which I cannot always avoid on most plastic models. And this unit's flight characteristics are nice, with good straight forward motion, and only a minimum need to adjust the trim from time to time. But I'll report... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Viefly 688 JXD Metal Series 339 3CH RC Helicopter RTF w/ Gyro: Colors Vary between Orange & Gold This little helicopter packs alot in a small package. The gyro is one of the best that I have seen on this size helo. Spare parts are pretty easy to get either on Amazon.com or any of the R/C helicopter sites.I just took this out of the box, just tweaked the trim knob a bit, and now it holds a good hover, and will hold a straight line in foward flight, flying backwards it kind of wants to go to one side or the other. Although, I haven't had the occasion to use spare parts, yet, but I also ordered some of the more common parts that you would need (i.e. rotors, landing gear, fly bar, etc.). I do this for all of the helicopters that I get, because it saves alot of down time. All I have to do is go to my box of spare parts, and get the part I need, replace it, and ready to fly in less than 15 minutes(usually, depending on the part!). Overall, this is a great little helicopter, easy to fly right out of the box, good selection of spare parts, and good price!
