Awesome little chopper!, November 24, 2012 By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Viefly V789 3 Channel Remote Control Helicopter with Gyro (Color May Vary) (Toy) I purchased this toy yesterday at the mall in Bloomington, IL. A nice little fellow had a stand in the center isle just loaded with RC toys, mostly helicopters. He was flying this blue Viefly V789 all over the place, from floor to ceiling and around his stand. The thing was amazingly agile and responsive, turning split-second 180s and 360s, and accelerating and decelerating incredibly fast. I stood and watched him effortlessly fly the thing for about ten minutes, until the battery was due for a recharge, and not once did the tiny chopper show a moment of instability. Having been swindled by a few looks-cool-in-the-video RC choppers in the past, I was leery. But, I stood and chatted with the friendly fellow long enough that he convinced me to buy. Anywho...
The chopper has a variety of bright colored LED lights that flash when it's powered on that look really cool, especially in low light. The controller takes 6 AA batteries, from which you can charge the chopper. It also... Read more

WAS a Great first helicopter, January 17, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Viefly V789 3 Channel Remote Control Helicopter with Gyro (Color May Vary) (Toy) Like others, i've been wanting a helicopter to fly in the house for a while now. Never wanted to spend too much money either. I wanted something that'll be more durable then those airhogs and not hard to fly. I must say the only adjustment I had to do was tweak the rotation like mentioned in the first section of the manual. That was a 2 minutes adjustment and I was flying. Battery lasts a little less than 10 minutes on what I think is a full charge using the USB cable that comes with it.
So far so good. The product arrived yesterday and I only just started playing with it today. definitely worth the money for what you get and then some.
** Update ** The helicopter was working great up until 2 days ago. Now it just doesn't charge and of course won't turn on.
** Update 2 ** I contacted the manufacturer and they attempted to correct the issue. Unfortunately, they felt the problem was the battery and I received an envelope which was marked by USPS as... Read more

In just a little while was flying around with ease. It was such a nice bird I bought another to double the fly time. Very durable and fun to fly. Have a lot of time on it and still flies great. Its had some hard hits and has held up well. Im very impressed how well it has held up. It comes with some spare parts but would recommend buying extra tail rotor blades. Main blades have held up well. Still on the originals. Highly recommended.
