A Blast Indoors!, January 25, 2013 By DeepDawg (Seattle) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: (Blue) Skytech M2 3 Channel Metal Remote Controlled Indoor Helicopter Built-in Gyroscope (Toy) For indoor use, this is a great value at forty bucks delivered. I will admit that the basic problem with these little buggers is crashing them while learning to control them. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure these would struggle outdoors. For outdoor use you would be happier with one of the larger six-channel, single rotor, variable-pitch models which are much more expensive and require much more experience to fly. I like this one because it's relatively easy to fly, it's inexpensive and I can use it indoors.
It's a toy, and it flies; so if you crash it, it will break. Maybe not the first time but keep crashing these and they will break; sometimes badly. If you can't fix it, don't buy it because you will probably crash it many times at least while you're first figuring out how NOT to overreact at the controls.
I have two of these and I've repaired almost everything on the first one; call it the cost of learning to fly steady. Even with all the repairs, it... Read more
Good for a little bit., December 31, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase Great flying around, durable for the inexperienced flyer. However, after about 15 charges or so, the unit would not hold a charge and fly anymore. Ended up trashing it.

Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: (Blue) Skytech M2 3 Channel Metal Remote Controlled Indoor Helicopter Built-in Gyroscope (Toy) This heli is great for those of us starting out. The smaller ones don't do the job, they are too small to carry a very good battery. This is the smallest one which carries a good battery, 7-10 minutes flying time, but the problem is that the joint between the shaft and the upper rotor breaks often. This cannot be repaired, all you can do is simply replace it. I have done that twice, and have now run out of replacements. More on order, but I don't know if I can do it again. This is a nice helicopter, but that one flaw (Fragility) puts it into the "also ran" category. (Blue) Skytech M2 3 Channel Metal Remote Controlled Indoor Helicopter Built-in Gyroscope
